DAY 1 & DAY 6: Travel days with overnight accommodations in Ohio. On our travel days the hotel provides complimentary mini buffet and free cocktails, wine and beer.
DAY 2-5: Nashville, Tennessee On day two, a scenic mountain drive will take us to Nashville by early afternoon. Upon arrival you will have free time to explore the Country Music Hall of Fame and have lunch on your own. Later this afternoon we check into comfortable accommodations at the world-famous Gaylord Opryland hotel for a 3-night stay. This palatial property features 85-feet water fountains, 9 acres of indoor gardens, lush tropical foliage, and winding "rivers". The Opryland hotel has the look and feel of a massive theme park and attracts thousands of visitors daily (on top of the numbers who are actually staying at this spectacular hotel) The most impressive of the hotel's numerous areas is the 2-acre Cascade Conservatory, whose roof is a full acre in size and made up of 2,700 glass panes. Waterfalls splash across rocky outcroppings and fountains dance with coloured lights and lasers. Bridges, meandering paths and a revolving gazebo bar add a certain quaint charm. And, during certain hours of the day, you are likely to see acrobats or other performances. The Magnolia lobby resembles an elegant antebellum mansion, with its classically proportioned double staircase worthy of Tara itself. Also inside the hotel you will find an 18-hole golf course, two indoor hitting bays and the scenic indoor Delta river where you can take a flatboat tour and wind through the four and a half indoor acre garden. Other facilities include 15 restaurants and lounges, 3 outdoor pools, 16 retail shops, spa and exercise room. There is so much to see and do and Nashville is filled with the holiday spirit at this time of year. You can't help but feel good. You will also enjoy a fun time of dining and entertainment aboard the General Jackson Showboat. This 300-foot paddle-wheeler is one of the largest and grandest showboats in the country. Its four massive decks are decorated for the holidays with Victorian Christmas decor and a beautiful two-story Victorian theater where live music shows are performed. A delicious meal will be served while cruising on the majestic Cumberland River.
