Springtime in the Smoky Mountains including Dollywood, &Gatlinburg, TN 6-DAY TOUR: May 31st/10 DAY 1: Dry Ridge, Kentucky After a stop at the duty free a relaxing, scenic journey will take us to Dry Ridge, Kentucky for overnight accommodations. Buffet meal included. DAY 2: Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, Tennessee A scenic mountain drive will find us in Gatlinburg by noon. Ample time will be allowed to have lunch and explore the beautiful stores that line the streets of this pretty town nestled at the foot of the Great Smoky Mountains. Next, we check into our hotel in Pigeon Forge where you will be guests for the next 3 nights. Lovely accommodations have private balconies over looking the river, the perfect place to sit and unwind after a busy day of sightseeing. After unpacking and time to relax and freshen up we depart the hotel again for dinner and "Country Tonite Show" Day 3: Dollywood theme park Most of this day will be spent at Dolly Parton's theme park "Dollywood". Once inside the park you will make your own itinerary, seeing the shows you wish to see, dining and relaxing at your leisure, browsing the unique stores and watching the local artisans at work. There will be two departure times from the park allowing you to get the most out of this lively place. This evening will be free to relax, take in a show of your choice, or shop at the nearby Outlet Mall. Day 4: Obergatlinburg & Smoky Mountain National Park A step-on guide will join our group this morning to take you high up in the mountains. The park is especially lovely at this time of the year, bursting with mountain laurel and many other beautiful spring flowers and trees. Following the tour an aerial tram taking you high up the mountain to Obergatlinburg. Upon arrival you will have ample free time to shop, dine or perhaps visit the Black Bear Habitat. Later this afternoon you will return to our hotel to relax and freshen up before dinner and "Comedy Barn" show. Day 5: Titanic Museum & Dry Ridge Kentucky This morning we visit the all-new "Titanic Museum". This $250 million structure is slated to open in spring 2010. It will be built half-scale to the original Titanic and towers 100 feet high. The stucture is anchored in water to create the illusion of the Titanic at sea. Captain John Edward J. Smith will be the official greeter and as guests enter the world of the Titanic, they will be given a passenger boarding ticket. On this ticket is the name of an actual Titanic passenger or crewmember and the class they were travelling. Guests will learn the individual's story and in the Memorial Room, they will find out the fate of their ticketed passenger. Overnight Dry Ridge Kentucky. Day 6: Homeward bound today with a stop at the duty free before crossing back into Canada. Buffet meal included.
