DAY 1: Chicago, Illinois - After a duty free stop at the border, our luxury coach takes us across the state of Michigan en route to Chicago for a relaxing overnight stay. The Seneca Hotel is situated in downtown Chicago and just one block from Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Arriving at our hotel by late afternoon or early evening you will have ample time to explore Chicago's famous landmarks on your own, or visit Chicago's newest attraction, Millenium Park, where you can experience everything from interactive public art, al fresco dining and free classical music presentations. For shopping we are across from the Water Tower Place shopping mall, and a short stroll from Neiman-Marcus, Bloomingdales and Oak Street boutiques. For entertainment, the Art Institute, Museum Campus, Oak Street Beach, Navy Pier and Rush Street's nightlife are all nearby. For dining, endless restaurants from world famous bistros to Chicago style pizza are all steps away.
DAY 2: Chicago, Illinois & Wisconsin Dells This morning a step-on guide dressed in fedoras and spats will join our group for a fun city tour. The Prohibition Era comes alive as we travel back to the days of Al Capone. See the sights as only a Chicago gangster can show you! After lunch on your own we depart Chicago and make our way to Wisconsin. By late afternoon, the timeless and rugged beauty of the Dells surrounds us, one of the most unique vacation destinations in the U.S. Tonight, we enjoy an included home cooked dinner, followed by a musical variety show at the very popular Wisconsin Opry.
DAY 3: Wisconsin Dells - This morning, we depart for an exhilarating land and water adventure aboard the famous Original Wisconsin Ducks on a fabulously scenic tour over land and water. Later, step back in time on an old-fashioned carriage tour through picturesque Lost Canyon. Tonight we enjoy an included dinner and enchanting sunset boat cruise past towering cliffs and unique rock formations, stopping for an evening stroll through the mysterious torch-lit paths of the Witches Gulch.
Day 4: Wisconsin Dells - After an included breakfast, we depart for the world famous House on the Rock. This is something you really have to see to believe! Started as one man's get-away in the midst of a peaceful wilderness, it is now home to over 2-1/2 miles of one-of-a-kind exhibits, the world's largest carousel, and the spectacular and breathtaking Infinity Room. Truly AMAZING! An included dinner tonight is followed by an evening performance of the Tommy Bartlett Thrill Show.
Day 5:Chicago, Illinois Leaving the Dells we return to the Seneca hotel in Chicago for our last night away from home. Today we have included admission to the Sears Tower for an awesome view of the Chicago skyline. Next, you will view Chicago from a different prospective on an exciting boat cruise along the Chicago River. Marvel at the architectural landmarks as the experienced guides recount the dramatic story of Chicago's rise from the great fire of 1871 to become the home of skyscrapers and the cradle of modern architecture.
DAY 6: Homeward Bound.A relaxing journey will bring us back home by early evening. Buffet meal included today.
