OTTAWA TULIP FESTIVAL 4 Day Tour: May 21-24, 2010 Day 1: Kington & Ottawa Our journey today will take us to Kingston's harbor front for lunch on your own. Next, we continue on to our capital city, arriving early afternoon. Accommodations for the next 3 nights will be at a lovely Lord Elgin hotel, situated in downtown in the heart of all the action and tourist attractions. Afternoon and evening free to explore on you own. Rideau Canal Cruise included this evening. Day 2: Ottawa Sightseeing A step-on-guide will join our group this morning as we embark on a tour of Ottawa and the Centre Block. You will drive through many of the well-known neighborhoods and tourist attractions such as: Parliament Hill, Rideau Hall, the Prime Minister's Residence and much more. This afternoon we visit the Museum of Civilization where you are freen to browse on your own and enjoy the spectacular Imax Show. The remainder of the afternoon free to explore on your own. Perhaps take in the Tulip Festivities at Major Hill Park, visit the Parliament Buildings, the Prime Minister's residence, the National Art Gallery and more. All are within a short walk of our centrally located hotel. Day 3: Gatineau Hill Sightseeing An optional sightseeing excursion will be offered this morning to the scenic Gatineau Hills and the McKenzie King estate. This afternoon will be spent exploring the Canadian War Museum. Evening free to shop, dine at a restaurant of your choice near the hotel, stroll through the beautiful Tulip displays at Dows Park, or take a shuttle from the hotel to Hull Casino. Day 4: Peterborough Liftlocks & homeward bound This morning we depart for home with a stop in Peterborough for lunch on your own and time to view the world's largest lift locks.
